Jah Works @ Carroll Creek – June 28, 2019

Jah Works (Baltimore) Such a fun live unit. Awesome roots rock reggae from a group of nine impeccable musicians that have been at it since 1993. A massive crowd showed up and danced the night away.

Two unique vocalists (Scott Paynter and Natty Roc) keep the audience energy and good vibes flowing as the band provides powerful and engaging tunes inspired by classic reggae with bouncing twist.

Singer Scott Paynter recalled the trip to Frederick and the traffic that greeted the band on 70 west on the way to the show. Paynter had worked all day and was a bit bummed about the traffic but Uncle Chuck assured him there would be at least nine people at the show (the band). The turnout was by far way more than nine people, eliminating the bad traffic vibes from everyone.

During songs you’ll find many crowd participation points within the lyrics, especially one that referenced cleaning up the house.

Another cool moment was a mid-song transition into Steve Miller Band’s “Fly Like an Eagle”
