Suspect Device/TxBxDx/Miss Lonelyheart @ Guido’s Speakeasy – June 14, 2019

Suspect Device – Classic punk rock from the band’s first show. Diverse cover selection through choices such as: Dead Boys “Sonic Reducer”, Spinerette “Valium Knights”, The Misfits “I Turned Into A Martian” and The Ramones’ “I Wanna Live”. The band’s specialty is a fast-paced and hard-hitting sound.

TxBxDx – Upbeat, energetic punk rock with riffs and simple lead guitar parts that catch your ear, solid drumming, dynamic bass and angsty emotional vocals from two powerful women and forceful male backing vocals to complete the picture. The bassist(?) eating sour patch kids and threw one to an audience member saying “I hope you can catch”. The audience member dropped it but then proceeded to eat it off the floor.

Miss Lonelyheart – One of the tightest bands every time I see them. Punk with doses of alternative and new wave influence. Catchy power pop vocal hooks and consistently pleasing instrumentals excel through clean sounds/tones from the guitars and bass and steady/concise drumming.
