The Original Booze Brothers @ Carroll Creek – May 31, 2019

At the Original Booze Brothers’ core are two prominent longtime musicians in the Frederick Area: Fred Humbert and Lee Radcliffe. If you scour their facebook page you’ll see that they’ve been involved in the Frederick music scene for many years and even owned and operated the first downtown Frederick bar to host live music. They founded their Blues Brothers inspired act in 1978.

The band’s show on Friday night featured many blues classics that got the crowd dancing and jiving. Each band member is tight and concise, as you’d expect from musicians who have years of experience playing. Felt-out guitar solos, a steady rhythm section and vocal participation from the whole band are what makes the band excel and succeed in being a truly entertaining live act.

There was a spotting of who my family knows as “Woodstock Guy”… His infamous dancing led us to creating that nickname and he can be seen at tons of outdoor concerts all over Frederick. Look closely…
